Le Domaine aux Lions – Normandy house with heated pool and tennis court

Le Domaine aux Lions is a spacious, exclusive-use holiday house in a quiet hamlet at Fauguernon, in Normandy’s Pays d’Auge. Surrounded by countryside, it combines characterful interiors with plenty to do at home, making it a welcoming setting for families and groups of friends.

Space for 15 guests

The house has eight bedrooms, including three family suites each comprising two bedrooms, and five bathrooms. The maximum occupancy is 15 guests, including children. Ask the owners about the bed arrangement that best suits your group.

Time together indoors

The generous ground-floor living space includes several seating and dining areas, a double-sided fireplace, a pool table, table football and a piano. There are board games, books and television, while fibre internet and WiFi help everyone stay connected. The equipped kitchen includes a large fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a choice of coffee machines. A separate laundry room provides a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Private pool, spa and tennis

The 12 × 5 metre covered private swimming pool is heated throughout the year, with a target temperature of 28°C; the owners note that the temperature can vary during exceptionally cold weather. The pool is available from 8am to 8pm. Inside the house, a spa bathroom has a jacuzzi bath and shower.

A private tennis court, practice wall and basketball hoop offer more ways to spend time together, with rackets and balls provided. On the terrace are outdoor seating, table tennis and an Ofyr wood-fired barbecue.

A garden made for outdoor play

The enclosed, tree-filled garden extends to around 6,000 m². It includes a pétanque area, trampoline, slide, zip line and children’s play equipment. Younger guests have toys and books indoors; cots are available on request, with highchairs and a changing table also provided. Children should be supervised around the pool and play equipment.

A comfortable stay in the Pays d’Auge

Beds are made for arrival, and bathroom and pool towels are supplied. End-of-stay cleaning is included, with guests asked to clean the kitchen, dishes and barbecue, tidy up and sort their rubbish. Private parking is available near the entrance. Catering, babysitting and massages may be arranged on request, subject to availability and additional charges.

Lisieux and Cerza wildlife park are nearby, with Deauville and Honfleur options for a day out on the coast. The house is intended for peaceful stays: loud parties and outdoor music are not permitted, and guests must keep noise down after 11pm.

The prices shown include 10% VAT. Tourist tax is additional. Weekend stays are a minimum of two nights, Friday to Sunday; one-night stays are available on weekdays.
