Villa Platane

Villa Platane is a spacious four-star gîte in Agnac, just 3km from the lively bastide town of Eymet. Converted from a traditional farmhouse, it provides generous accommodation for six guests across two floors, with the owners living discreetly in the adjoining barn conversion.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and three bath or shower rooms. The main double bedroom has an ensuite shower room, while the other two bedrooms have twin beds arranged together as king-size beds. Downstairs, the large salon has comfortable seating, a separate dining area, a fireplace, smart tv with English and French television, WiFi, books, DVDs and board games.

The traditional kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher, a washing machine and tumble dryer. Central heating and full insulation make the property suitable for stays throughout the year.

Outside, the gîte sits within around 10,000 square metres of parkland and wooded grounds. Guests can enjoy the large swimming pool, a poolside summer kitchen with gas hob, oven, sink and fridge, and a shaded boules court beneath mature oak trees. A magnificent 300-year-old plane tree gives Villa Platane its name, and some shade on summer days.

Eymet is five minutes away for markets, restaurants and shops, while Bergerac, Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and Marmande are all within about 25 minutes. The surrounding Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne countryside offers vineyards, bastide towns, canoeing, cycling, horse riding, golf, leisure lakes, châteaux and caves.
