STUNNING 18thC PROPERTY. HUGE HEATED POOL IN PRIVATE 50 ACRE ESTATE

We had a wonderful 3 generation holiday at Chestnut Cottage which provides comfortable spacious living accommodation. Situated in a lovely private setting with extensive grounds. All amenities are accessible within a short drive. We enjoyed lovely days by the pool (heated to 27degrees if necessary) during extremely hot weather.. The covered area around the pool provides welcome shade. Victoria and Harris are friendly hosts, available if need be but not intrusive. Lovely restaurants, Marchés Gourmands, delightful towns and villages and canoeing available locally. We thoroughly recommend it.

What a fantastic week's stay we had at Victoria's and Harris's lovely, secluded gite. The cottage is fantastically well finished and appointed and the grounds and pool are an enormous asset - nothing better than a drink by the pool and a dip to cool off in the evening.
We have never stayed anywhere that was better provisioned for a stress free self-catering break. The kitchen was better equipped than our own!
With all of that, Victoria's and Harris's attentive, welcoming hospitality was the icing on the cake - we particularly enjoyed our chauffeured, informative and varied vineyard tour

Chestnut cottage is in a wonderful location, easy to access the surrounding villages, markets, caves and restaurants. The house is fully equipped and comfortable, the pool is amazing and the setting is peaceful. We all loved it so much and were sad to leave. The Wine tour was excellent. Lots of wine tasting and a fantastic meal at a local restaurant. We also had the pool buffet which was a real treat and great fun, very delicious and a real hit especially the chocolate fondue at the end. A great place to stay, with warm and friendly owners.

We enjoyed a really wonderful week at Chestnut cottage. Such a beautiful setting, peaceful and private. The house is very well appointed, comfortable and has everything you need. Brilliant welcome hamper on arrival was a lovely touch. The grounds are stunning, but the real highlight is the pool - best holiday pool we've ever had. The kids loved the table tennis / trampoline especially. Harris and Victoria were very welcoming and helpful, but left us to it. We had a fantastic week, it's a really special place, and we would recommend staying at Chestnut cottage without any hesitation.

We had a fantastic two week holiday at Chestnut Cottage. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us and we loved the pool area. The grounds were so huge and private and felt that we were in a park! There were so many different places to sit outside and relax . The house had all the amenities that we needed including electric canopies over the outside space for those very hot Dordogne days. Victoria and Harris were great hosts. We loved the additional touches that they provided- whether homemade chocolate brownies or a bowlful of local walnuts.

There was so much to do in the area and the location was a great base to explore the Dordogne. I am sure we will return! Highly recommended.
