Location and Surroundings

The property is situated at approximately 700 metres above sea level, right beside the River Giffre and on the edge of the forest, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the French Alps.

Behind the house rises Mont Orchez (1,347 m), offering numerous hiking and mountain biking trails. Across the river stands the impressive Pointe de Marcelly (2,004 m), the highest point of the Praz de Lys ski area.

From the living room, you can enjoy beautiful views towards the Marcelly, overlooking our traditional Savoyard wooden chalet, known locally as a mazot.

The famous ski resorts of Les Portes du Soleil and Le Grand Massif are both within a 20-minute drive. The beautiful destinations of Annecy, Chamonix and Geneva are approximately 45 minutes away by car.

The charming village of Mieussy is particularly well known for paragliding and regularly hosts World Cup competitions. The area is also famous for its skiing, the spectacular Pont du Diable canyon and the fascinating Jourdy Cave.

Located just a stone's throw from the Swiss border, Résidence Caro is the perfect base for both relaxation and adventure.

With the River Giffre forming a natural boundary to our property and our very own natural spring providing fresh water, we offer a truly unique experience in the heart of the French Alps.
