La Tuque: Secluded Countryside Retreat for 6 near Montcuq

The south facing sun trap site enjoys delightful countryside views, and being just over a mile (2km) from the character country town of Montcuq has easy access to all services that Guests are likely to require. Lauzerte, a historic hill town is about 10km away.

The open plan Ground Floor has the Dining Area, well equipped Kitchen and a spacious Sitting Area
The Kitchen is very well equipped, including a dishwasher, microwave, and a great range of appliances. *The kitchen is currently being completely renovated, and will be ready by May 1, 2026!

The Sitting Room which opens onto the terrace has a Smart TV with Netflix, and The Dining room has space for all 6 to dine together.

A couple of steps down from the Dining room lead to a ground floor Double Bedroom, and a separate Shower room with WC and basin. This shower room is being completely remodelled and will be ready by May 1, 2026. It features a modern walk-in style shower.

At the top of the stairs, on the north east side of the house, is a Lounge area which will stay reasonably cool on the hottest days.

A Twin bedroom is on this level, and also the Master Double Bedroom with sleigh bed, Juliet balcony and spectacular views over the pool away to the hills between Montcuq and Lauzerte. A Bathroom, with bath and shower over, basin and WC completes this floor.

A feature of La Tuque is the selection of outdoor areas for Guests, supported by a good selection of outdoor furniture.

Immediately outside the Siting Room and Dining Room is the raised terrace, part of which is covered.
Under the covered section large comfortable outdoor furniture offer shady sitting and comfortable evening lounging.

A table and chairs on the open section of the raised terrace is a breakfast time sun trap, with the boulangerie of Montcuq only a couple of minutes away it is sure you will be enjoying warm croissants and fresh coffee there at some point in your stay.

Steps down lead to the large terrace including the Pool. Measuring 10x5m, and with integral steps and hard cover, the pool can be heated (at cost) The convenient hard cover helps to conserve the heating over night.

With a good selection of sun loungers, table and chairs and a charcoal barbecue La Tuque invites you to live and lounge outdoors.

A good garden area includes an area of lawn for ball games, and there are swings there for the young. In the garden at the rear of the property is a stout oak tree with a rope swing for the young to enjoy.

Pets are allowed, with prior consent, at a supplement of £50.
