Le Fournil is a 300 year old longère style farmhouse which although recently updated, retains a wealth of original features such as beams, exposed stone walls and a huge working fireplace. The salon has easy chairs and a sofa as well as a dining table which comfortably seats ten. The television room has a flat screen TV with UK satellite channels, a DVD player, and WiFi.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the usual gadgets including microwave and dishwasher. There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a range of equipment for babies and toddlers.
Downstairs there is a double bedroom with ensuite shower room, and a twin bedroom with separate bathroom with bath. Upstairs are a further two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, and a twin bedroom as well as a further separate shower room. The soft Egyptian cotton sheets and the tranquillity of the French countryside will ensure a perfect night’s sleep!
Outside, the large garden with numerous fruit and nut trees, overlooks open farmland. There is a patio with table and chairs and barbeque, and a large 10 x 5 metre heated swimming pool shared with La Grange, fully fenced complying with French safety regulations.
The beautiful Loire Valley is famous throughout the world for it's many opulent Châteaux and magnificent gardens. The area is on the edge of the Brenne national park, popular with birdwatchers and nature lovers. With many nearby activities such as golf, cycling and watersports, there is something for everyone.

Azay le Ferron is a small village with a bakery, hotel, and small bar with a take-away restaurant. It has it's own Chateau which is open to the general public and well worth a visit. The area is on the edge of the Brenne national park, popular with birdwatchers and nature lovers. There are watersports and golf nearby, and with miles of predominantly flat immaculately surfaced roads, the area is excellent for cycling.
