Description
Chateau de la Rapidiere is situated in the hamlet of La Rapidiere. It has a private pool with terrace, a built in BBQ and is ideal for family entertaining. The gardens are not overlooked so you can enjoy a relaxing holiday in complete privacy.
The Limousin or French Lake District is a beautiful area of France full of winding lanes, lakes and lush green landscapes. Nestled between the Charente and Dordogne the temperature can reach 30C plus during the summer months with clear blue skies. The numerous rivers and lakes provide a whole range of water sports including sailing, canoeing, kayaking, wind surfing and water skiing to name but a few. The region is ideal for walkers and anglers. Limoges is the department capital and has long been famous for it`s enamel and fine bone china production. Visit the local art galleries, churches, chateaux. museums and numerous local markets selling local produce such as cheese, pate, oils and honey to name but a few.
THE CREUSE
The Creuse is a picturesque region of France situated at the foot of the Massif Central. To the north in the department of Indre is Aigurande, a small town with several shops, a weekly market and a supermarket that will meet all your needs. Gueret is the department capital town and here there are many restaurants and specialised shops. Eguzon is famous for it`s school of painting and it`s proximity to the three lakes. The pretty village of Fresslines is famed for it`s local artists and exhibitions along with memories of Monets famous visit to the region. See the ancient ruins of Crozant, a charming village overlooking a dramatic gorge and where you will find kayaking hire and boat trips along the River Creuse. The wonderful town of Argenton-sur-Creuse is known as the Venice of the Berry and Abusson is world renowned for it`s tapestries and carpets. Visit La Souterraine, a medieval town with roman walls surrounding it. The Creuse also provides an opportunity to relax and enjoy the abundant wildlife as well as numerous outdoor activities. You will not be disappointed.

Policies
During the months October/May the pool will not be in use.
Beach towels and charcoal are not supplied.
For reservations made within six weeks of the start of the holiday, payment should be made in full.
Your stay at the chateau would be for seven days.
From Saturday to Saturday.
The chateau sleeps 6 adults plus a todler (we have a travel cot) and a baby (we have a crib). A high chair is provided.
Your stay at the chateau would be for the ground floor only.
You would have sole use of the swimming pool and garden.
