Secluded Air conditioned villa for 8 with heated pool

This beautifully restored home is the Owner’s primary residence, which they make available during the summer months. Over the past several years, the Owners have lovingly enhanced it, with ongoing improvements, including the addition of a new ensuite shower room as recently as 2024.

A 4-star certified retreat, it’s tucked away at the end of a single-track road, offering peace and tranquility. Although hidden in the French countryside, it’s only 2km by road and 1km by foot from Montaigu-de-Quercy, making it easy to walk to the boulangerie for fresh bread each morning.

Every detail has been considered for your comfort, including air conditioning in the lounge and all bedrooms, a heated swimming pool with electric hard cover, super king and king-sized beds, dimmable bathroom lights for nighttime, extra large rainforest showerheads, pool towels provided, and more.

There are 4 luxurious bedrooms, each named after a French wine.

On the first floor, the Champagne master bedroom features a super king sized bed, ensuite shower room and built in wardrobes. Sauterne is a double with a king sized bed and ensuite shower room. Malbec bedroom can be made up with a super king, or with two single beds. On the upper most floor, Syrah is a twin bedroom with two single beds.

In addition to the ensuites there is a family shower room on the first floor, with a convenient double washbasin and WC. There is an additional WC on the ground floor.

A cot, high chair, and stair gate are available. For stays of 2 weeks or more, additional sets of bed linen are supplied. Bath and pool towels are also included, leaving you more room in your suitcases!

Secret Bouriette’s spectacular kitchen has a 6-burner gas range with double oven, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a great range of crockery and small appliances such as a coffee maker and kettle. The large island has convenient seating for cocktails or breakfast time.

The formal dining table seats 8, and the sitting room has comfortable seating around a fireplace. The TV offers Freesat UK channels and French terrestrial (TNT) channels. There is also a DVD and CD player, some board games, and a great selection of books available.

Fibre internet is installed, backed with repeaters throughout the house, ensuring fast speeds. A large desk for working, and extra seating are available on the upstairs mezzanine (not shown in the photos).

OUTDOORS

The expansive garden boasts a 10 x 5m heated pool, with a unique ‘continental shelf’ and integral steps, allowing the very young to be in the water without being out of their depth. It has a convenient electrically operated hard cover for security. Sun loungers and parasols are provided on the pool terrace. Pool heating and pool towels are included in your rental price.

Adjacent to the pool is a playhouse with swings. The pool house also houses badminton, croquet and boules. There is table tennis in the courtyard by the house.

Secret Bouriette (formerly named Perdu) has many outdoor areas for dining and relaxation in both daytime as well as nighttime by the soft glow of evening lights.

A redundant building has been converted into a sheltered courtyard area, and in front of the house is a delightful pergola for outdoor dining and relaxation. A charcoal barbecue with an initial supply of charcoal is provided.
