La Calade de Joux

La Calade de Joux is an 18th-century Ardèche house near the picturesque village of Chassiers, within the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Natural Park. South-facing terraces overlook a landscape of vineyards, olive trees and chestnut woods, with views towards Mont Ventoux and the Alps. The house, garden and swimming pool are reserved exclusively for your party.

Room for seven

This four-star rated holiday home features three bedrooms, two shower rooms, and two toilets. The vaulted bedroom on the garden level stays naturally cool and is furnished with a 160 × 200 cm double bed. At the same level, one air-conditioned bedroom can be set up with either a 180 × 190 cm double bed or two 90 × 190 cm single beds. The air-conditioned attic bedroom contains a 140 × 190 cm double bed and a 90 × 190 cm single bed; please note that the ceiling height here is limited to a maximum of 1.70 m. You will be asked to confirm your preferred bedroom configuration three weeks prior to your arrival.

Relax indoors and out

The air-conditioned kitchen and living area combine the character of an old stone house with modern comforts. The kitchen has an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee-making equipment. The lounge offers comfortable seating, a smart television with Netflix, books, games and a wood-burning stove. Wi-Fi and a washing machine are provided. A wood-burning stove is also available for an additional fee, allowing you to enjoy cozy evenings by the fire.

Enjoy meals on the covered south-facing terrace, with its ceiling fans, or use the separate shaded barbecue terrace. The 1,600 m² garden is arranged in traditional stone terraces, with table tennis and a swing.

Your own swimming pool

The private saltwater pool measures 10 × 5 m, with steps and a depth of 1.4–2 m. It has a fence, gate and alarm, plus sun loungers and parasols. The pool is not visible from the house, so children need close supervision around the water. Pool towels are supplied.

Exploring southern Ardèche

Walking and cycling routes lead through the surrounding countryside, making this a peaceful base for discovering the landscapes and villages of southern Ardèche.

Pets are welcome free of charge. The house is non-smoking. There are stairs and changes of level, and parking is away from the house; the property is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility.
