La Belle Echappee (The Beautiful Escape)

We had the most amazing time with family and friends. The house and extensive gardens are perfect for both adults and children. The house was. well equipped with everything we needed.
Graham and Diana are the perfect hosts. They made us feel welcome and did everything in their power to ensure we had the best time. We will definitely be back!

Graham and Diana are such a lovely friendly couple. They made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The house is amazing, everything is catered for and so comfortable. Plenty of space for everyone. The pool is well maintained and a good size for everyone to enjoy. The amount of outside games equipment provided kept the children entertained, especially the baby swing for our 1 year old granddaughter. We count ourselves very lucky to have been able to book our holiday at La Belle Echappee. Thank you Diana and Graham.

Our family of 11 ranging from 7 years old to 78 years old spent a wonderful week at La Belle Echappee. The house is ideally suited for a family with five superbly equipped bedrooms which gave us lots of flexibility. Having both an indoor and outdoor kitchen was a great bonus as we ate outside on most evenings. Although there are many attractions in the area, our family spent almost all of the time at the house using the superbly warm swimming pool and the extensive grounds for football, tennis, badminton, table tennis etc. Our children and grandchildren all loved everything about the holiday. Diana and Graham are wonderful hosts and nothing we asked for was too much trouble for them. As a family we have stayed at many different houses in France over the last ten years but La Belle Echappee beats all of them. In fact we have already booked for next year and cannot imagine wanting to go anywhere else. It was a fabulous holiday and we can unreservedly recommend La Belle Echappee.

We had a very enjoyable family holiday with sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in late May. Although the weather could have been kinder, La Belle Echappee did not disappoint. The children spent most days in the heated pool but there were plenty of other activities and equipment to enjoy on the large site. The house itself was extremely spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for all the family to relax both inside and out. There are several large supermarkets nearby and a small grocery shop in walking distance from the house. There are also plenty of places to explore nearby on bike or foot. Further afield there is the medieval town of Parthenay or the spectacular Puy du Fou theme park which all the family loved. Diana and Graham were perfect hosts and we are looking forward to returning next year when we hope we can use the outside kitchen and barbeques and enjoy some al fresco dining.

As a family of 10 plus 2 dogs this was a fantastic house. The garden is huge which the dogs loved and there was plenty of room for us to play badminton, tennis and football. The pool area was lovely especially on a hot day. The house is well equipped for eating inside or out with a particularly great patio area where you could eat or just sit and relax.
Diana and Graham were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.
