Tournesol Ferme, or ‘Sunflower Farm’, is set on the edge of a peaceful village, an ideal name for a home set amongst sunflower fields and cognac vines. Surrounded by meadowland, on the edge of a small hamlet, on a small 'D' road that may see 4 cars a day if you are lucky.

Providing two detached properties, the Farmhouse and Stables Gîte. Both with private space for individual rental or available to rent together, ideal for larger or two families. Situated just minutes from the nearest town, well situated to expore the Charente Maritime

The farmhouse is set in its own gated grounds, away from the quiet road, with no direct neighbours and is surrounded by meadows. The light, high-ceiling rooms and large shuttered windows provide wonderful views of the endless countryside.

The main house sleeps eight people: there is one super-king size double bedroom, one king-double bedroom, one twin room and a single bedroom. Also available is a child’s put up bed or cot for smaller and younger guests. There is also a double pull-out sofa bed in the downstairs study/hall. All bedrooms have plenty of built-in wardrobe space, high ceilings and large windows to keep them cool during the summer months, all with electric fans for those hot summer evenings.

There are two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) both with double walk in showers, three toilets (one upstairs and two downstairs). With the recent installation of a new central heating system, there is always plenty of continuous hot water.

The spacious ground floor has open plan lounge, dining and kitchen, perfect for families and larger groups. The large living room features comfortable sofas, wifi, satellite TV, DVD player, player, a large selection of books and games – everything you need to sit back and relax. The dining area has an oak table seating eight and opens onto the garden. The hall/study has a double sofa bed and selection of games and books.

The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of storage, granite worktops, a double oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge freezer, second wine/drinks fridge and dishwasher and all the kitchen gadgets you will need to make the most of the great local produce. The washing machine is in a separate room off the entrance hall.

The kitchen opens on to the patio area and rear garden with a large table that seats 10 and a barbecue, with views over open countryside and evening sunset, just fitting for al fresco dining.
