Nuthatch Cottage is in a lovely peaceful spot but near a lot of interesting places. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the owners go out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. Their local knowledge and recommendations of places to visit and where to eat are extremely useful. A great base for a holiday in Normandy.
So glad you enjoyed your holiday with us, it was lovely to meet you both. We would love to see you again if you are down our way again. Till then take care.
Warmest regards, Glynis and Charlie.xx
This is our second visit to the Nuthatch and it was just as good as the last time. The Gite is very clean, comfortable and well equipped for a couple. The setting is very tranquil & idyllic at the end of a lane, no passing traffic, just the cows in the meadow and the swallows darting into the store. At night there is no light pollution so if the skies are clear you can see all the stars in the universe( fantastic)
Charlie & Glynis are warm, very friendly and generous hosts, even when you manage to lock yourself out of the gite!
The closest town is Villedieu-les-Poêles-Rouffigny which is 20 minutes away by car, with supermarkets, restaurants etc and places like Bayeaux, Granville, Mont St Michel, Dinan and the DDay beaches are about one hours drive away. Most of the D roads are relatively quiet with smooth tarmac and the ferryport at Caen is about 75 minutes away.
We look forward to returning next year, Ian & Linda Howatson
It was so lovely to see you both again. Hopefully it wont be long till your back with next year. I forgot to ask if your Evening Primrose survived? Hope you enjoy your book. It has many memories of the past I can relate too. Till then take care.
Love Glynis, Charlie and Normanxxx
