La Grange Montante

Thank you Gill and Tony for making our first visit to the Dordogne so special. Your gîte contained everything we could possibly need throughout our stay and we very much appreciated it and your fantastic hosting skills. I have to mention the pool area ; before arriving we expected the gite to be our base to explore,(which it undoubtedly is well suited for) but the pool area was such that we found our thoughts returning to it while we were out exploring the beautiful area in which the gite is located! Therefore we would return early to take advantage of the pool, its multiple places to sit in or out of the shade and we used the fridge down there for refreshing drinks and just laid back and enjoyed the tranquility of the glorious countryside and views to die for.

Thank you Gillian and Tony for a wonderful week in your gite at La Grange Montante. We felt totally welcome and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The location is idyllic - the tiny hamlet is peaceful and tranquil, surrounded by beautiful countryside, perfect for walks. The gite itself is beautiful and well - equipped. You really have thought of everything, even down to leaving some essential groceries for us on our arrival (notably, the wine!!) which we really appreciated. We all loved the pool, especially our 10 month old twins! The space and gardens surrounding the pool are also beautiful. Your recommendations of places to visit were spot on. The highlights for us were the market at Piegut-Pluviers on a Wednesday morning and the lake at St Estephe. Further afield, we also visited Perigueux, Brantome and Rochefaucauld. Our only regret is not having more time here. Thank you again! Kate and Harry

Where do I start….Gill & Tony are fabulous hosts, they settle you in, ensure you know they are there if you need them etc. They are not intrusive in any way and you don’t feel guilty about asking for “help”.
The Gite is the cleanest we have ever been in! Spotless (and we have been to many). The attention to detail is spot on with quality items for that luxurious feel. Every detail has been thought of. The pool and gardens are just gorgeous, flowers everywhere and the odd little lizard (very cute). The pool is the perfect size with a little area that has a fridge so you can keep your drinks/food cool. We had such a lovely relaxing time here, we felt so very sad to leave. Thanks to Gill & Tony for a relaxing week in a tranquil setting! A lovely little Gite with everything you could possibly need. Sole use of the pool was a fabulous bonus. Gill & Tony were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble, lots of tips on where to go and what to do, which was such a help. Thanks so much again for fantastic holiday! We will be back.
