Samenvatting

Le Tilleuil is a pretty, well appointed 3* gite and one half of our 18th century Farmhouse set in the commune of Combiers on the Charente/Dordogne border.

Beschrijving

There are 2 large en suite Bedrooms, each with a double bed and single bed, a large lounge/kitchen, pool, private terrace and garden. We are in the heart of beautiful forested countryside with gentle rolling hillsides on the edge of the Perigord Vert. It is a peaceful rural area with rivers and lakes for canoeing, boating and fishing. Visit the weekly markets in nearby Brantome, Piegut or Riberac where you can meander and buy fresh produce and local specialities and then rest in a bar or café to sit and watch the world go by. For walkers, there are numerous quiet lanes, a nearby arboretum and woodlands with tracks. The local Tourist Offices have maps of the many signed walks and rambles through the lovely countryside and we keep a few at the house. There are concerts, fetes and brocantes all summer. If house hunting we are not far from an eastate agent at La Rochebeaucourt

Turn into Combiers from the D939. Go over the bridge, the church is on right, then bear left and continue taking the THIRD turning on the left into Les Monneries. Go to the end of the lane to the house on the left. There is a laurel hedge and parking before the house. Welcome!

Strictly no smoking indoors. Maximum 6 occupants. As is normal in France you are expected to leave the gite in a clean and tidy condition, with bins emptied etc. Excessive cleaning will be charged for. However, should you wish for end of stay cleaning to be done for you please let us know in advance. Re Covid: Leave linen in bags provided.
