This property is extremely unusual in France because it is a large block of land right in the middle of a lovely village. You can relax under the oak or fruit trees, in the large pool (heated between June and September) or play boules on our court and then walk 100m to our village's popular bar/restaurant and providore. It is only 15 mins to the glorious medieval town of Loches which hosts food and wine markets twice a week. Villandry and other famous chateaux are a 40 min drive away as are some wonderful vineyards.
On the property there is a grand 4 bedroom manor house Les Roses (10 people) and charming 2 bedroom cottage La Lavande (5 people). Guests have exclusive use of both Les Roses, La Lavande, the pool and property. This is the perfect property for large groups of friends or family with lovely places to eat and spend time together, but also lots of quiet spots to relax by yourself.
Both Les Roses and La Lavande have antique dining tables and lovely spaces inside to dine together or relax with a book. They also have large wooden tables outside for al fresco dining during the lovely summer months.
The owners have children and the property is designed to keep the kids entertained while the adults relax. The property is fully fenced and there are pool toys, many bikes, children's toys and books, a tree house and the 12th century grange (one of the village's oldest buildings) has a pool table, dart board and table football. There is internet access throughout both houses.

In France it's very unusual to find a property with good sized grounds in the middle of a village. But our property is exactly that - two houses, charming outbuildings and a hectare of fruit trees and gardens in the middle of the lovely small village of Ferriere Larcon. The village has a stunning church, a street of troglodyte houses and a fabulous bar/restaurant. The medieval village of Loches with it's beautiful food markets twice a week is only 15 minutes away. Famous chateaux and vineyards are only 45 minutes away.

Our trip to La Cure was delayed due to the COVID 19 pandemic but it was absolutely worth the wait. We rented the whole property for a week in late August 2022. 11 of us in total (4 families) with an age range of 6 to 66! The house sits in beautiful grounds and the swimming pool is an absolute dream. Heated to a very comfortable 29 degrees so even though the weather was changeable on a couple of days we still managed to have a dip. We didn't stray far, as the house was all that we needed. Swimming, games of cricket and petanque, long lazy lunches under the walnut tree followed by an evening BBQ. We did venture out and eat in the local restaurant, Le Saint Mande, on our last night. The food was lovely and very reasonable. We have been renting holiday homes in France for over 10 years and this is the loveliest house we have rented. Kris was very patient with my never-ending booking amendments and returned our deposit very quickly. Amanda, the manager in France, was very helpful too. We just wish we could have stayed longer. We will certainly return.
We were a family of 8 adults and five children and it was perfect! Exactly as in the description, plenty of room indoors and out. Very comfortably furnished and with plenty of places to sit outside. Meals on the long table under the walnut tree were a delight.
The swimming pool was much appreciated in August! The properties are very well equipped with lots of extras - bikes, toys, books, guide books and pool towels. With so much to enjoy at the property there was little need to go far but we had lovely cycle rides and walks nearby and enjoyed chateaux within a reasonable distance.
The village restaurant was excellent - it accommodated us all downstairs and the food was delicious.
Communications with Kris and Amanda were excellent.
All in all highly recommended!
