La Belle Echappee is a tradiotional maison bourgeoise, a spacious family home, set on the edge of the picturesque village of Faye L'Abbesse. Surrounded by fields and open countryside, the house is set within walled and gated grounds of 1 hectare offering an abundance of activities and entertainment for all the family. Offering stylish and extremely comfortable living including wireless internet connection with 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 16 plus 3 babies, La Belle Echappee's accommodation is equally suited to family holidays or groups of friends. Within a 5 minute walk are a bar and pizzeria, a small supermarket, a post office, a pharmacy, a boulangerie, a hairdresser and the village church. An abundance of country walks and cycling routes are situated around the property. The nearest town of Bressuire is 10 minutes drive and is the second largest town in Deux-Sevres, with numerous restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bars, theatre, cinema, swimming pool, tennis and ten pin bowling. La Belle Echappee has a gated driveway with ample parking for several cars. The swimming pool is 10x5 metres with roman steps and is full heated (average temp 30 degrees). The salt water system is much kinder for the skin and eyes. At the side is a solar heated shower. Sun loungers, chairs, small tables and parasols surround the pool. Two large patio tables with an abundance of chairs are in place for alfresco dining along with 2 gazebo's and a rattan suite for relaxing the summer kitchen. The summer kitchen has a sink and cupboards, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, roll out canopy and a large gas BBQ. Here there is also a toilet and washbasin ideal access from the pool and is where the washing machine is located. Large lawn areas are suitable for all outside games with badminton net, football nets, boules, croquet and badminton equipment and an outdoor table tennis table and bicycles are provided. Close to the pool is a play area with swings, slide and a climbing frame.

Directions

La Belle Echappee is in the south west of France. Most visitors will come by car, the nearest port of St Malo is 3 hours and 6 hours from Calais.

Poitiers airport is approximately one hour and Nantes airport is one hour and 10 minutes drive. Airlines such as Ryanair, EasyJet and Flybe all operate the routes.

Booking and payment terms

A non refundable deposit will be required to secure your booking of £300 within 7 days of making a booking, then the balance of the stay is due within 8 weeks of arrival date, also a Security deposit £200 (refundable if no damage to property and left in a clean and tidy condition). This will be returned by direct bank transfer as agreed with the Guest.
 Payment can be made by paypal, cheque or bank transfer to our UK bank account or French bank account
The property bookings run from Saturday to Saturday. However, if you do wish to arrive a day earlier (for example) it may be possible to accommodate you depending on availability. Likewise if you require a shorter break of 3 to 6 days in off peak times - I would be pleased to see what I can do.
Prices include hire of bed linen, electricity and towels – you will need to bring your own beach/pool towels. 
CHECK IN:- times are from 4.00pm and all guests must check out no later than 10:00 on the day of departure.  
Well behaved dogs(maximum of 2) are welcome however please note there is a charge of £25.00 per dog per week which is payable on arrival.                                       
Tax de sejour (Tourist Tax) is not included in the price and is payable on departure at the rate of 75 centimes per adult per night.
 The rates are quoted in pounds sterling.
Upon your arrival you'll be provided with a welcome basket, providing a few essentials (including a glass of something to quench the thirst) to help you along until you get out and about. ​

Please note: the property is non-smoking  
Children must be supervised at all times, especially in the grounds and near the pool area. Children’s safety remains the sole responsibility of the parents/guardians at all times.
No glasses (including bottles and cans) or sharp objects are allowed within the swimming pool area. The swimming pool is available April-October.
Use of the accommodation and all amenities is entirely at Guests’ own risk. Guests’ personal belongings, including motor vehicles, left in or around the property are entirely at Guests’ own risk. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage thereto.
In the event of cancellation by the Guest(s) the charges are as follows:
· 4 weeks or less before rental period begins, no refund is made.
· between 4 and 8 weeks before rental period begins, 25% of the total cost is refunded.
· more than 8 weeks before rental period begins 50% of the fee is refunded.
 If it is possible to re-let the property after the cancellation a full refund less £50/€62.50 admin fee will be made.
