The property has a large private garden and private splash pool. It is located just over a mile from St Martin des Besaces which lies in the centre of the Vire, St Lo, Villers Bocage triangle. La Blancapierre offers an ideal base for those wanting a quiet, rural retreat whilst being close to many of Normandy’s tourist attractions including the D Day beaches.
From the front door to to the left is the lounge area which has English TV (free sat) and a DVD player and there is access to free wifi throughout the house. To the right of the front door there is a separate dining room with log burning fire for lovely family dinners. To the rear of the dining room is a well equipped modern kitchen. The kitchen has dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a large 6 ring cooker. The stairway in the living room leads to the first floor
On the first floor inf front of you is the master bedroom with a double bed.To the left is a twin room and to the right is a another double bedroom. On the right is also a toilet and in a separate room there is a shower,bath and basin.
There is also a third floor comprising of a spacious four bed attic room.This room would be ideal for children.
To the right of the property there is a large garden with a verandah with table and chairs and a large splash pool. This is ideal for “al fresco dining” or just relaxing and enjoying the amazing sunsets. A barbecue is provided for your use.

St Martin des Besaces, although a small village, is well equipped with a boulangerie, 2 butchers, a well stocked ‘8 – til’ late store, 2 bars, pharmacy, bank and doctors surgery. There is also a small market in the square on Saturdays.

For those that like the outdoors there are the many beautiful beaches to explore (30 mins + drive), A J Hackett bungy jumping and zip wire is just 15 minutes drive away., and just 10 minutes away is the beautifully situated Jurques Zoo. Slightly further afield in the lovely old town of Clecy in the Suisse Normande area of Normandy, where there is the opportunity for water sports such as canoeing on the river and even abseiling and paragliding for the more adventurous! The area is also ideal for those who enjoy rambling as we are close to the Vire Valley.
Normandy is renowned for its traditional markets and local markets can be found in Caen , Torigni, Vire , Villers Bocage and St Lo as well as many other villages and towns in the area. During the summer months there are many ‘Vide Greniers’ (similar to car boot sales) in the area.
There are a number of historical attractions within a reasonable travel distance; Falaise Castle (40 minutes) and Bayeux (tapestry) both having historical connections with William the Conqueror. For those interested in World War 2 there are many museums and famous beaches giving a fascinating insight into the D Day campaign.
Arromanches, the home of the Mulberry harbours (35 minutes) and Courselles sur Mer home to the Canadian Museum and landing beaches (50 minutes) also Pegasus Bridge (40 minutes) are just a few within easy reach.
Mont St Michel, UNESCO world heritage site is a 1 hour drive from the property and is well worth a visit.
