Located on a hill with uninterrupted views, L'Ancien Chai is perfect for families who want a rural setting without being remote. Also great for family and friends gatherings as we have plenty of space. L'Ancien Chai is part of a converted farm.
We enjoy a south facing patio with amazing evening sunsets to enjoy with a glass of wine. Bright and open plan, the ground floor living space comprises dining area, kitchen and lounge with log fire burner. We have free wifi with really good download strength. There are lovely views from every bedroom window, especially from the upstairs bedrooms which can see for miles. There is good wheelchair disabled access on the ground floor. If you need a ramp for a wheelchair please let us know.
Check out the video tour in images! The swimming pool is not available to use from mid October to late May annually.
L'Ancien Chai is on a shared location with 6 other houses. The large swimming pool and tennis court are shared, although they are both quiet and in practice my guests will have plenty of use of them to themselves.

We have stayed at this git eon a number of occasions and again we were blessed with fine weather, a really comfortable gite and a relaxed atmosphere about the development. This is a fine place for relaxation especially in the late afternoon and evening when the BBQ beckons after drinks on the terrace watching the vivid sunsets. We particularly enjoyed the tennis court and the pool as well as using the bikes to tour the area. I would recommend walking within the immediate area as there is so much to see & the locals are genuinely welcoming. The Gite itself has all that is essential and that now includes a fast Wi-Fi. The main lounge is very homely with a good TV that allows UK sport! Overall, this is a genuinely good place to spend a few weeks engrossed in a relaxed life style that brings many benefits; there were even people doing yoga! I would recommend without reservation and we will be booking again in 2018.
Thanks, I think you have enjoyed your photography there too
Great for exploring the Dordogne region (with Perigueux, Angouleme and Bergerac all within a short drive) and is on the edge of the Bordeaux wine area. The house forms part of a converted ancient farm with a shared pool and tennis court, and so is also perfect for relaxing days around the house – the views across rolling hills are superb (especially at sunset with a glass of the local Bergerac wine). I would be happy to return to Lusignac, and the Ancien Chai, with friends and family.
