My husband and I spent a week here during August and had the most wonderful, relaxing break.
The garden is very spacious, with horses and views of nature out all the windows.
We came here with our 1 year old golden retriever, who loved the outside space, which had plenty of shady spots during the hot days. Do note that the garden isn't enclosed, so if your dog doesn't have the best recall - take a long line!
For any dog walkers or families I would thoroughly recommend visiting the Grand Réservoir de Vioreau. We also enjoyed dining in Nantes at Aux petits oignons, which I can also recommend as a dog friendly restaurant!
The property is much bigger than the photos do it justice for, and the beds are also very confortable! A lot of time and detail has gone into this home and it doesn't go unmissed! I hope that we will be able to visit again soon, and hopefully next time without a 14 day quarentine on return to Folkestone!
We were one of the first to rent Chez Francois and we loved it. It had everything we needed and was fully refurbished and renovated but sympathetically to the age of the house. As with most really rural gites don't expect high speed satellite connections, but it was good enough for us to book an earlier ferry home with the threat of quarantine looming! Fiona and Deirdre couldn't have been better hosts and we'd highly recommend it to anyone. It is well placed for Rennes and Nantes and also the beaches around La Baule and Pornichet. We'd definitely stay again.
