The Perfect holiday rental
ENTER into a comfortable seating area with open fire, exposed stone and oak beams. Large flat screen television and plenty of seating opening out onto a further seating area with oak dining table and french doors then out to a sunny terrace at the rear.
From the dining area you enter into a large well equipped kitchen with central island unit ideal for guests who love cooking. There is a breakfast/snack table with seating and a door leading out to the side terrace with access then back on to the main terrace. On the side terrace there is a rotary dryer.
Upstairs are three double bedrooms all en suite individually furnished two with showers and one with a bath. All the bedrooms overlook the garden and woods beyond.
The large south-facing terrace has tables. chairs and parasols for dining and a large BBQ. The terrace is the full length of the property with sunshine from early morning until the evening.
From the terrace walk down the steps past the lavenders to the secluded swimming pool which is fenced for security and regularly checked and maintained. The pool area has non-slip paving and roman steps for easy access into the pool, also an ideal place to relax with a good book. Around the pool are loungers and parasols and the pool is in sunshine for most of the day and into the evening.
There is a good parking area with plenty of space for a number of vehicles.
The owners live on site but in a separate property, guests enjoy their own privacy and have exclusive use of the swimming pool. However, the owners are always available should any problem or emergency occur or should guests want help on places to visit.

Fly into Bergerac Airport (45 minutes drive) using the many low cost flights from the UK.
Bordeaux, Limoges, Brive and Toulouse are also viable options the house is approximately a two hours drive from each. Hire cars are available and easily obtained from all the airports.
Using the channel tunnel and ferries will enable you to explore France as part of your holiday and ideal for transporting those all important bottles!
We are situated on the edge of a small village a short drive from the market town of LE BUGUE here you will find a twice weekly market restaurants, shops a medical centre and a good range of supermarkets. There are many tourist attractions around the town so ideal for all the family.
Another town to visit is LES EYZIES a Unesco site of special importance again only a 10/15 minutes drive with its many restaurants, hotel dining, cafes,bars something to suit all the family and every occasion - a great place to spend an evening. Browse the small gift shops or go in the morning buy a newspaper and enjoy a French breakfast whilst looking at the amazing scenery. Here you will find the France's National Museum of Pre-history and the caves and grottes that the region is famous for. If you are feeling energetic hire a canoe for a couple of hours an afternoon or even the whole day.
Perigueux, Sarlat and Bergerac are all within a 40 minutes drive. Each one has at least one market day during the week.
PERIGUEUX the capitol of the region with its domed cathedral, museum and Roman sites is well worth a visit. The old quarter with many food shops, small pretty squares ideal for an alfresco lunch.
SARLAT an old medieval town with beautiful buildings and ancient gas lamps, lively during the summer with musicians and street entertainers.
BERGERAC the centre of the wine region visit the Maison du Vin and learn how wine is made then take a trip to see the vineyards one of which is Monbazillac. The pretty chateau looks down on the vines here you can taste the sweet wine perfect with foie gras, chocolate cake or even the British Christmas pudding. Serve chilled as an aperitif so take a bottle back to the house and enjoy whilst watching the sun set.
