We booked both gites in March for a family reunion and had a lovely time. The gites were warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. The new owners took over a few months ago and were very nice, and very helpful. They have also updated the internet and the connection was great. I'd definitely recommend this place - There are plenty of shops and hypermarkets around, and we even had time to go across the border into Belgium to stock up on cheap cigs and wine! We also managed to BBQ on the patio on a rare sunny day in March which the kids loved .The meat here is such good quality and the fresh prawns such good value. We enjoyed the village bar on one of our nights and will definitely be booking again!

We stayed here over christmas week and couldnt of enjoyed christmas anymore. My children loved their bedrooms, they were so roomy. I loved going upstairs, it had the wow factor !! Downstairs was lovely to, kitchen was lovely, had all the equipment needed. Even supplied washing powder for the washing machine and dishwasher tablets. We went to the playroom with the children (age 14, 12 and 5) to play pool quite often and the owners made sure it was warm in there with the wood fire. The only downside was having know internet all week, but this couldnt be helped as the owners had just took over the place and were waiting for it to be connected. We couldnt contact anyone over xmas as was relying on this, so didnt top up phoned before we left england. The views from the cottage are gorgeous, and so pieceful. Plenty of supermarkets about. Just a little tip, shop in Aldi, so much cheaper in there and only up the road. Overall we would love to come back and will always remember our christmas in France, one of our best christmases ever !!

We stayed at Turquoise for 2 weeks and found it very comfortable, owners so friendly and helpful if needed. Plenty of room, shower only snag as a bit tight, but we are used to a bigger shower. We also stayed at Emerald next door and again so cleaned and every thing you need is there. Plenty of parking room, the game room is excellent if you like ping pong etc. Recommend it to anyone.

Had a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay at the Turquoise Gite. The property has everything you need, is sparkling clean and modern and is extremely quiet, so a great night sleep could be had. A warm welcome can be expected and we were given fresh eggs to set us up for the day. The gite is in a great location too, being in the middle of everywhere we wanted to see. Would highly recommend. The photos don't do it justice!

A lovely location in the countryside but near to amenities. Only 45 minutes from calais, great for those who don't like long journeys. The property has everything you could want, and the excellent internet connection is a must for planning days out. The owners were generous and welcoming, allowing my girls to help collect fresh eggs from the hens each morning. We recommend a sunny day out to Le Touquet, lovely wide sandy beach and bustling town, parking charges were only 4 euros for 8 hours. We also had great fun on the Rando Rail, only 10 minutes from the property. Take a picnic if the weather is good. For a rainy afternoon, try the Maison du Papier, a small but immaculate museum, slightly quirky. We were disappointed by St Omer but this may be because we we out of high season. We took a boat trip along the marsh from Salperwick which was very relaxing with pretty scenery. Overall a wonderful holiday, definitely need a car but the roads are all very quiet and easy to navigate.

I travelled with my husband, adult daughter and almost adult son. We received a warm welcome and were impressed with the facilities. The gite is very clean and comfortable. We all enjoyed the games room. It is a lovely rural setting with ducks waddling about - cute! We found it a good base to explore the area, but it is not a "touristy" area. We saw few other English cars and there was little English spoken. We had to dredge up O level French which was good for us!! We watched the Tour de France come through and had good days out including visits to Nausicca in Boulogne, Lille, and across the Belgium border to Ypres. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here and were sorry to leave at the end of it.

A lovely English couple who have thought of everything, the Gite was a home from home, it has everything you need including fresh eggs!! We are a family of five, two adults three kids (14,15,16). There is a aldi down the road for those home cooked meals with a supermarket across the road. The rooms were perfect and we made use of the games rooms which was fab for family time. I would without a doubt recommend this Gite to everyone. Thank you graham and Ann. The only downside is that the spiral staircase could do with some non slip strips on them as they were slippy but non of our kids slipped down them so wasn't all bad.

Our family of 3 generations had a fantastic holiday staying in the turquoise gite for May half term. My two boys (6 and 4) enjoyed going to feed the chickens and ducks with the owners and we all enjoyed the eggs for breakfast. The games area, trampoline, park area and goal were all enjoyed by all the family. The gite was tidy, comfortable and we were able to have a bbq every night as the weather was lovely. The owners kindly provided directions and tourist information of surrounding area. Following the directions we got to the gite easily. We also visited some of the tourist attractions - the rando rail, Maison du paper, Saint Omer has a super park for all ages and we enjoyed a boat ride on the waterways. We also went to the beach at Le Touquet on two of days which has a great skate park and swimming pool.

The Turquoise holiday Gite was a perfect location to explore Nord Pas De Calais. The Gite was well equipped (although the living room area was a little small for a family of 5) and the games room was popular with the family. The Gite was clean and the owners are helpful in giving advice on areas to visit. Great beech at La Touchet and lots of places of interest to visit, although most are a 45 minutes to an hour drive away.
