Aramon Apartment, named after a variety of red wine grape grown primarily in Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France, is one of six apartments in the stunning holiday home La Bastide Lavandière.
The 19th century stone Mas building is in Canaules-et-Argentières, a charming village surrounded by vineyards, halfway between Anduze and Sauve in the Languedoc Rousillon region of southern France and not far from the Cevennes mountains.
The apartment is on the ground floor and affords easy access to guests with impaired mobility. For wheelchair users please enquire. It is popular with families and small children and provides facilities such as child step and integrated loo seat, steriliser, nightlight, potty, plastic cutlery, bowls and beakers.
There is a private terrace with table and chairs.
There is a shared garden and saltwater swimming pool (12m x 6m) and two parking areas. In the fenced garden area there is a swing and games for children.

As you enter the apartment you are immediately in the open plan living room with its beautiful vaulted ceilings giving a spacious and light and airy feeling. The room is comfortable and tastefully furnished.
The beautifully fitted kitchen is very spacious. It has all facilities needed for a self-catering holiday. These include electric cooker, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and coffee maker.
There is a large dining table with seating for six people.
Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and Bedroom 2 has twin beds.
TV with French and UK channels are provided and also a DVD player.
WiFi is available throughout the property.
Pets are not allowed at the property.
Smoking is not permitted.
Linen and towels (including pool towels) are included in the price.
Outside:
Guests have access to a garden and saltwater swimming pool (12m x 6m) shared by the other apartments in the building, and two parking areas. In the fenced garden area there is a swing and games for children. A communal BBQ is provided here but the apartment has one also.
LOCAL AREA:
For an enjoyable meal out, Troubadour Circus is a local restaurant/bar which is located in the next village, St Jean des Serres (aprox 3km). There is also Chez Isa restaurant/bar which can be found in Ledignan (aprox 6.5km).
Discover Anduze (12km) and its historical centre with numerous restaurants and bars. The Provençal market held on Thursdays, is always popular offering plenty of local produce.
Well worth a visit is the Bambouseraie. This is a botanical garden specializing in bamboos and is located in Générargues,
Catch the steam train from Anduze (12km away) to Saint Jean du Gard, taking in the stunning views of the beautiful landscape as the train crosses the viaduct. through the Gardon. The train runs most days in the holiday season.
About 12km away is Sauve. This picturesque, medieval town on the banks of the Vidourle river, is set in an area of forested hills, vineyards and orchards.
If you would like to visit to a vineyard, at the foot of the Cevennes massif, in a hilly landscape of pines, holm oaks and cypresses, lies the Domaine de L’Orviel in St Jean des Serres (aprox 3km), a local independent wine producer www.domainedelorviel.com
If you are wanting a little more excitement and would like to try Canoeing or Kayaking, you could visit Western Canoe (aprox 35.2km). Western Canoe is based in the medieval village of Laroque at the foot of the castle, on the banks of the river Hérault with its magnificent gorges.
Just 36km drive away is the medieval town of Uzès. The well known Place Aux Herbes, has a popular market and many restaurants. Climb the tower at the Duché for spectacular views over the town and visit the cathedral.
Nîmes (approx 29km) is known for well-preserved Roman monuments such as the Arena of Nimes, a double-tiered circa-70 AD amphitheater still in use for concerts and bullfights. Both the Pont du Gard tri-level aqueduct and the House Square white limestone Roman temple are around 2,000 years old.
Montpellier (approx 43km) boasts numerous tiny medieval streets, which bear testament to it’s proud past. Rue de la Valfère, Rue du Bras de Fer, Rue de L’Argenterie are sure to introduce you to a whole new world. Why not go shopping in the boutiques with their vaulted ceilings and visit designers, antique dealers and tearooms, or see some art at Carré Ste Anne, Galerie St Ravy etc. enjoy a journey back through time!
