What the connector does

• Find whole-property rentals in France by location, guest capacity and facilities.
• Read public property descriptions and facilities.
• Check stay dates, guest capacity, pet rules, calendar evidence and indicative prices.
• Provide a Gîtes property link so you can review the details and send your own enquiry.

A clear calendar is not a confirmed reservation. Availability, prices, extra charges and deposits must be confirmed with the owner. The connector cannot book, take payment or send an enquiry.

Private pilot access

The connector is currently a private pilot. It is not yet publicly available in an assistant directory. Contact [email protected] about access.

Approved testers receive a server URL and a dedicated pilot credential securely. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector. Enter the supplied name and HTTPS URL. Where request headers are available, choose No sign-in and add the supplied bearer credential as the authorization header. The server still requires that credential; this is not anonymous access. Connect, then check that four read-only tools appear.

The private ChatGPT pilot uses a workspace-associated tunnel and is connected separately by the operator. It is not a public directory installation. Keep credentials private. Do not paste them into conversations, URL query strings or public documents. If your account lacks request-header support, contact us before trying another authentication setting.

Try a search

• “Find up to three gîtes in Dordogne with a private pool for four people. I do not have dates yet.”
• “Tell me more about the first result, then check 5–12 June 2027 for four guests and no pets.”
• “Find options for those dates with an indicative stay total up to EUR 1,500.”

For a dated search, provide arrival and departure dates and the number of guests. Include pets if relevant. Budget searches also need a currency. Results are bounded, so ask for more options if needed. Empty results can mean no eligible matches; they do not establish that no suitable rental exists elsewhere.

Your information

The tools receive the search filters or property ID needed for each request, including dates, guest count and pet preference when supplied. They return public listing information and do not expose private owner contact details, account notes or guest messages. Do not include personal contact details or sensitive information in search filters.

Your assistant provider handles your conversation and any connector credential under its own policies. Gîtes receives tool requests, rather than needing access to your whole conversation. Ordinary infrastructure logs may record request metadata; backend search requests can include filters in their query string. Property and enquiry links include the referring assistant’s name and a campaign label. When you follow a link, Gîtes uses its website analytics to count visits and enquiries from these links; the labels do not contain your conversation, name or email. Sending an enquiry is a separate action you review on the website. Website use is covered by the Gîtes privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

If connection fails, check the supplied URL and credential. If a request reports that Gîtes is busy, wait a minute before retrying. Correct invalid dates, guest counts or currencies before resubmitting. Never assume a failed check means the property is available.

For help, email [email protected] with the time, tool name and a brief description of the issue. Do not include credentials. You can disconnect the connector from your assistant’s settings.
